Brett sits down to talk with Tim about his experiences throughout his career as a financial advisor and his philosophies on success, attitude and ethics.

Tim Hammett is the Co-Founder and President of Visionary Wealth Advisors, an independent financial planning firm with locations in Missouri, Illinois, and Florida.

Under Tim’s leadership, the firm is expanding their signature Values Based Financial Planning model, which provides an elite concierge of services in the areas of investments, financial planning, estate planning, and insurance services.

A contributing factor to the success of Visionary Wealth Advisors is credited to Hammett’s model that he has refined, articulated, and enhanced over the last three decades. The essence of the model is to clearly understand what is most important to individuals and then integrate their values into the financial plan that Visionary Wealth Advisors design and manage.

As a lead architect of Visionary Wealth Advisors, Tim has built a trusted team of advisors who possess the highest level of credentials, education and training to perform and build long term financial security for clients and the firm.

Tim believes that financial planning is very personal. The first comprehensive plan he developed was for his own parents, which was designed to reflect their core values. Tim’s father worked in the public utility sector for 40 years and was looking forward to his next stage of life. When Alzheimer’s cut his father’s retirement short, the Family’s values were upheld and this experience became the basis for the successful business model Visionary Wealth Advisors enjoys today.

Tim is a proud alumnus of the University of Missouri – Columbia where he earned his degree in personal finance and played tennis. Tim is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and Accredited Estate Planner.

He has lived and worked in the greater St. Louis metropolitan region throughout his career. He and his wife Ami, are busy raising their three children; Luke, Drew, and Rachel. They spend many hours on the soccer, tennis, baseball fields and basketball courts for practice and games.

Tim believes that the joys and gifts we are given should be returned and has embedded this value at Visionary Wealth Advisors where every team member is encouraged to support causes. Tim actively supports the St. Louis Archdiocese Ministries, Life Teen Youth Group, and the Crohn’s – Colitis Association, among others.
