Dan McLaughlin serves as the television play-by-play voice of St. Louis Cardinals baseball on FOX Sports Midwest. The 2019 season is McLaughlin’s 22nd in the Cardinals TV booth.

A St. Louis native, McLaughlin called his first major league game at age 23. His play-by-play work on Cardinals baseball has earned him two Mid-America Emmy Awards and 10 nominations.

McLaughlin has also served as a play-by-play announcer for NFL and MLB games on FOX Sports, as well as college football and basketball telecasts on FOX Sports and ESPN, and as host of St. Louis Blues hockey coverage. He currently calls Saint Louis University basketball games on FOX Sports Midwest. He also contributes to FOX Sports Midwest’s offseason coverage of the Cardinals.

He is involved in several local charities and hosts the Dan McLaughlin Golf Tournament to benefit the Special Education Foundation, which has raised more than $3 million for children with disabilities.

McLaughlin is a 1996 graduate of Lindenwood University, where he played baseball. McLaughlin began his professional broadcasting career at KMOX Radio. Dan, his wife Libby and four children make their home in St. Louis.
